Kids' climbing gym · Salburua

Urban Boulder
Eskola.

A huge climbing gym. For very small climbers.

Over 50 boulders, walls made to their size and new challenges every week.

Opening and start of classes

Open climbing follows the weekend and public holiday timetable.

The facility

A real sports facility.

Urban Boulder Eskola is a space created exclusively for children under 12 to discover and enjoy climbing.

Walls up to 3 metres high, large padded areas and boulders adapted to different ages and levels. It's right opposite the main gym and is one of the largest kids' bouldering facilities in Spain.

There are two ways to enjoy climbing at Eskola: during the week, through courses led by our instructors; and at weekends, coming to climb freely as a family.

Two ways to enjoy Eskola

On weekdays they learn. At weekends you climb as a family.

Monday to Friday

Climbing courses

From Monday to Friday, Eskola is reserved exclusively for climbing courses. Children learn and progress through activities led by specialised instructors.

There are groups for each age: 3–5, 6–8 and 9–11.

During classes, the instructors are in charge.

The kids enjoy their activity under our team's supervision. That's why families don't stay inside the climbing area during sessions: this way children can concentrate, gain independence and follow their instructors' guidance.

Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays

Open climbing

On Saturdays and Sundays Eskola is open to the public. Any child under 12 can come and climb during opening hours, accompanied by a responsible adult.

There's no need to be enrolled on a course or to be a member: entry is with a single pass, a multi-visit card or an Eskola membership.

At weekends you climb. And the adults supervise!

The kids are the stars, but grown-ups play a key role: every child must be accompanied by a responsible adult who stays close, watches their activity and helps them follow the rules. Adults accompany, but don't climb.

Active, close supervision prevents:

  • Uncontrolled falls.
  • A child walking underneath another who is climbing.
  • A climber falling onto another child.
  • Collisions and running on the mats.
  • Behaviour that puts others at risk.

It isn't enough for the adult to sit in another area while the child climbs.

Safety rules

Eskola is a climbing gym. Not a soft play area!

We want children to have fun, experiment, discover new moves and enjoy climbing. But Eskola is a sports facility: the mats protect, they don't remove the risk. That's why there are some basic rules.

Open climbing rules

  1. 01Every child must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the activity.
  2. 02The adult stays close and actively supervises the climbing.
  3. 03No running on the mats.
  4. 04Don't walk or stand underneath another child who is climbing.
  5. 05Before starting a boulder, check that the fall zone is clear.
  6. 06Respect turns and other people.
  7. 07Follow the staff's instructions.
  8. 08Adults don't climb on the walls.

During courses

Supervision exclusively by instructors. No family members inside the climbing area.

During open climbing

Mandatory, continuous supervision by the accompanying adult.
